Minor Water Regions (MNWTR) Coordinate system: 4326 - "WGS 84" Abstract: Minor Water Regions represent smaller waterbodies less than 100sqkm. Minor Water is engineered from a combination of National Topographic Data Base (NTDB) 1:50,000 and 1:250,000 scale hydrographic mapping data. Note: In 2012, there was a datum change from NAD83 to WGS84.

  CanMap Water was created using 1:50000 and 1:250000 scale hydrographic data. Arcinfo was used in the beginning as the processing tool but since has been migrated to an SDE environment. Since the initial release, additional 1:50000 scale data has been input into the layers and additional double line rivers have been split from major waterbodies.
